Justice & Service engages a wide youth audience and makes up an integral part of many youth programs across the country, especially at this time of year. Roza will be speaking about why it is important to include this focus area in your youth program and ministry as well as discussing effective ways to integrate justice, service and misison into your ministry for the mutual benefit of the formation of young people as well as the support of the most vulnerable in our communities. With preparations for the Synod on Young People, Faith and Vocational Discernment in full swing this special additional webinar follows the most recent Pre-Sydonal Gathering in Rome. Angela Markas and Mark Lysaght, Australians present at the Pre-Synodal Gathering in Rome, share something of their experience and the process and conversations that lead to the document that will be presented to the Sydonal Fathers to discuss at the October 2018 Synod. We had the opportunity to explore and discuss the document, how it relates to our local reality, and the important issues to be taken forward by Australia to the October Synod of Bishops on Young People, Faith and Vocational Discernment.

April 2018            Mary's Challnege: Walking with young people.

International guest, Fr Michel Remery, author of Tweeting with God & National Youth Chaplain of Luxembourg, explores the example of Our Lady as our focus turns towards Mary for the month of May. Fr Michel breaks open the second goal of the Year of Youth (authentic and personal engagement by Church leaders in the challenges and successes in young people's lives) in light of Mary's lived example to us. This webinar will challenge us to consider how we can take up Mary’s Challenge to walk with young people in response to this second YoY goal.

February 2018            Royal Commission Unpacked: Implications for ministry with the young and vulnerable

An opportunity to unpack some of the findings of the Royal Commission and explore the impact of this report and subsequent discernment of the Church in response. Sheree Limbrick, CEO at Catholic Professional Standards Ltd to help break this open and look at the impact for our various ministries with young and vulnerable people post-Royal Commission. November 2017            Spreading Joy: The Beginning
Our second webinar featured special guest presenter, Sr Hilda Scott OSB. Sr Hilda started us on our Year of Youth journey by looking at Joy as the foundation of our spiritual focus for the Year. What is Joy? What does it look like? How does it spread? Sr Hilda also explored how can we invite others, young people and the wider Church community, to join us in this mission to Spread Joy in New Horizons in the Year of Youth.

Our very first webinar featured Malcolm Hart, Director of the ACBC Office for Youth breaking open the theme, goals and vision for the Year of Youth. Participants from across the country had the opportunity to share ideas and gain important updates on planning for the Year of Youth.
